BOT meeting with the ALIM team
At arrival, the BOT entertained the Abundant Life International Ministry (ALIM) team in Uganda at a dinner at Café Roma, run by an Italian in the upper market Kampala suburb of Muyenga. The ALIM team members present included Samuel Sombi the Mission’s coordinator, Godfrey Kalungi, the praise and worship leader, John Faith, ALIM Country representative and conference teacher and Pastor Ernest Howie  the lead conference teacher and Leader of ALIM. During the meeting, the BOT thanked the ALIM team for growing the Church of Jesus Christ among the nations by organizing the pastors and leaders conferences.  The upcoming ALIM conferences are due for 7th to 10th March and 12th to 15th March in the towns of Mututukula and Sembabule respectively.

    Meeting with the IGG
The BOT during their visit met the Inspector General of Government (IGG), Mr. George Bamugemereire. During the meeting, the BOT sought the IGG’s advise and possible help on how to solve the legal problems the charity is facing at the moment among which is the perpetual court adjournments and non-turn-up of Judges for sessions when on schedule.    The IGG promised to use his office to look into the matter and he promised feedback in due course. He further advised that Ivan our lawyer writes a letter to the Judge requesting him to move court forward over this matter. During the meeting, all necessary contacts were made to ensure that this matter is laid to rest by March 2019.

    Meeting with the HCCT Lawyer
The team proceeded to meet Ivan the lawyer for HCCT in his chambers. During the meeting, it was agreed that Ivan writes to the Judge to move court forward for the Lion of Judah case. In the letter to the judge, the photocopies of the passports of the members of the BOT are to be attached. Ivan is also to obtain a written witness statement from Papa and John Paul to ensure that everything is in place for any eventuality. On the similar legal front, the team met Enoch, the Lawyer handling Mbale land in case.   Enoch told the team that all submissions for the case are done and we are now awaiting the decision of Court (Judgment).

BOT Meeting with MFH staff
The team visited My Father’s House and after an orientation tour around the premises, they held a meeting with staff. The BOT commended the work of the staff and encouraged them to put more effort in all that they are doing. The chairman pointed out that if everyone at MFH did what they are required to do, while paying attention to detail it would make a difference in a positive direction. He drew members to the attention of the school motto derived from the words of Apostle Paul to the Colossians 3 vs 23 “whatever you do, do it heartily as unto the Lord”. He said that if each member of staff take these words to heart and do likewise, MFH will be a school of excellence as it has always been declared by the staff. He said that God’s plan is to partner with the staff of MFH in an effective manner and if the staff cooperate, the partnership will bring glory to God at MFH in every way. The Headmistress was encouraged to look out for schools that match MFH for benchmarking so as to establish standards that will enable our school to stand out.  Among the issues to find out is whether the pupils provide text books or it’s the school that provides. The staff was encouraged to share out any ideas with the BOTs that they think will be beneficial to the growth and development of MFH.

In the effort to improve performance and effectiveness of MFH, the BOT re-interviewed the second runner candidate Aaron for the position of a manager at MFH.  Aaron satisfied the requirements of the interview and he was offered a job as manager MFH effective 1st of May 2018, which offer he accepted.

BOT meeting with BOG-MFH
The BOT had a joint meeting with the Board of Governors of MFH School on the 16th Feb 2018 at Mbale Resort Hotel. The discussion focused on how to grow MFH into an excellent and self-sustaining entity. The headmistress informed the members that every member of staff has developed targets and she promised that systems have been put in place to fast track staff performance in line with the appraisal system. The Chairman BOG thanked the BOT for their support and commitment to make MFH what it is today and he too pledged that as the BOG, they will do their best in unfolding the vision and mission of MFH by being a testimony to the Muslim community where MFH is located and to the rest of the district and country at large.

The last two days of the visit by the BOT was spent in appreciating God for His wonderful creation at Murchison National Park. The team had a game drive as well as a boat ride on the Nile and they were able to see a number of animals, which included the Elephants, giraffes, Baboons, monkeys, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes and water barks among others. The team concluded the week’s journey with a visit to Murchison falls.

Conclusion
The 7 days visit by the BOT of HCCT was a great gesture of love and commitment by the members to MFH and all other HCCT programs across the country, which include the Lion of Judah and conferences. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the BOT on behalf of MFH and HCCT Uganda for all the support they have accorded to the program. We commend you to the Lord that you will be partakers of His divine blessing in every way now and forevermore.

Blessings to you all
